This is a report on codes and regulatory activities including the status of pending bills and Building Code / regulatory changes under review by the Governor's Office under Exec Order 562. Topics include the legislative status of restructuring the boards that oversee all areas of building construction and the coordination of the codes of regulations (BCCC).

This 6th session of the Codes Committee’s annual cycle of code presentations will revisit the many topics and examples of code misinterpretations, misunderstandings, and overlooked code requirements.
This presentation will review mixed occupancy buildings, exterior wall ratings, sprinkler systems, and smoke control systems, including code language subtleties that can completely change the meaning of the requirement and a discussion of code requirements from a fire science / life safety perspective.

As a complement to the presentation our speaker will provide a PDF to all attendees who request it.
