Rush University Medical Center Transformation Project

John Moorhead AIA will be sharing the insights gained from a 25-plus person design team that was co-located to a site office with members of the client team, program management team, construction management team, and the engineering disciplines.

Rush University Medical Center was looking to re-position themselves in the Chicago healthcare market and believed that having a campus that was on equal footing with their high standard of caregiving was vital. Being the medical center of choice as well as the employer of choice meant they needed to address the aging facilities on their piece of the Illinois Medical District on the west side of Chicago. They also saw this project as a moment of transformation, and wanted to signal the community of their ability to provide 21st century medicine.

John was a member of the Perkins + Will project team for Rush University Medical Center and is now a Principal and Design Director at TRO.

For those who qualify, 1.5 LU/HSWs are available.
