Sustainable Forestry/SFI Program

Russell Chapman, Sierra Pacific, will be here to review the Sustainable Forestry Initiative program(SFI). The presentation details history, membership and qualification into the SFI standard and what it means to have that certification. Included will be discussion about how our forests help to sequester carbon from our atmosphere while providing a renewable source of fiber that can be used in a multitude of ways. Using wood is the sustainable choice. Also LEED v4 also now recognizes SFI as an ACP (Alternative Compliance Path) to FSC certified wood on a project. Please join us to learn more about how to use wood in the most sustainable way.
