A first taste of One Room Mansion

The Urban Housing Unit (uhü) is a new, prototype housing model designed by LiveLight and the Boston Society of Architects/AIA in partnership with the Mayor’s Housing Innovation Lab and the BSA Foundation. The uhü (yoo-hoo) Roadshow embarked on a tour earlier this year through six Boston neighborhoods (City Hall Plaza, Roslindale, Mattapan, Dorchester, Roxbury, East Boston, Allston, and Fort Point), inviting neighbors and visitors to check out the unit, chat, and discuss ideas about smaller living. This 385 sf mobile, fully furnished, one bedroom, compact apartment prototype finished its roadshow on the lawn outside BSA Space as a complementary piece of the exhibition, One Room Mansion.

Take a virtual tour of the uhü here.

A complementary exhibition piece to One Room Mansion the Urban Housing Unit (uhü) was on view at Atlantic Wharf from November 12 to December 9, 2016 after its tour of Greater Boston.
