The position entails working on in-house designs and collaborating with consultants, contractors and vendors in the construction industry. The Individual will report directly to and work closely with Urbanica’s development and design Principals. Day to day responsibilities include architectural drawings at various stages of design development, construction documents, virtual design coordination (VDC), permitting/entitlement processes, and construction administration.
Responsibilities:
- Generate, manage and maintain a full construction document set independently.
- Support multi-disciplinary coordination meetings throughout the project lifecycle.
- Construction administration including regular site visits
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience
- Professional architectural degree
- Experience in multifamily residential is highly desirable
- Knowledge of construction, architectural design, code and permitting regulations in Boston/Massachusetts.
- Construction administration experience and knowledge of construction methods
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketchup, Bluebeam is required. Revit skills a plus.
- Proficiency with 3D collaboration tools (Navisworks, BIM360 suite, Assemble) is preferred.
- LEED certification or a commitment to sustainability is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to balance multiple deliverables and deadlines.
