Born out of the May 2019 BSA Embodied Carbon in Buildings conference, this group was formed to share knowledge and to identify actions—immediate and long-term—for the AEC industry to address issues of embodied carbon in the built environment in Boston and beyond. The group aims to reduce carbon emissions, and has acknowledged that a critical component of this is examining the way that the industry works and talks about embodied carbon in order to change procedural behaviors that impact carbon emissions.
CLF Boston meets every other month. Several working groups—focused on developing specific programs and resources—meet monthly.
