Dear Friends and Colleagues,

After nearly 17 years of service, I will be ending my time with the BSA on August 15th and want to extend my deepest gratitude to all who have been so supportive over the years. I thank the many staff, board members, partners, funders, and BSA members with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working over these many years. You make the BSA what it is – one of the largest and most impactful AIA chapters in the country. I cannot thank you enough for the opportunity to work with all of you to advance the architectural profession. It has truly been an honor.

I’m incredibly proud of all that we’ve accomplished over the last dozen years. I’m also very excited to move on to the next chapter in my life. Before I assume my next leadership role, I will be taking a little time to enjoy my family and work in my wood studio on Western Avenue in Lowell (feel free to come visit!). I remain committed to BSA’s mission and am available to help orient the interim director and new executive director as they come on board.

The BSA community’s efforts to bring member knowledge, expertise, and experience to bear in addressing society’s inequities and environmental challenges are needed now more than ever.

As has been the case with every other issue we have confronted, I know you will rise to the challenge of tackling these problems. One final request: Please continue supporting the important work of the BSA through your continued work, volunteerism, membership, and financial contributions. Our community is strong because of you and the BSA’s vision can only be achieved through your continued involvement and commitment.

Thank you for all you do, and for doing it so incredibly well. Best wishes,

Eric White Hon. AIA Executive Director
