Join the BSA Foundation and Boston By Foot for a close encounter with the architecture and public art of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). This walk traces MIT's evolving campus. From the 1950s through the 1970s, MIT attracted such internationally known designers as Alvar Aalto, Eero Saarinen, IM Pei FAIA, and Eduardo Catalano. Today, the school is in a multiyear process of revitalizing its campus with the completion of projects by Gehry Partners with Cannon Design; Steven Holl Architects with Perry Dean Rogers & Partners; Fumihiko Maki with Leers Weinzapfel Associates; and Charles Correa with Goody Clancy, among others.

This is a program of the BSA Foundation in partnership with Boston by Foot.

Boston By Foot promotes public awareness and appreciation of Boston’s rich history and architectural heritage by offering a wide range of guided tour tours and programs.
