This event is now FULL, please view upcoming Family Design Days here.

This workshop invites both children and parents to participate in building unique playscapes with natural materials on The Greenway. Led by local artist and craftsman, Mitch Ryerson, each session will focus on the importance of nature play, group building, teamwork, imagination, and learning to build with new materials. This event is part of a series of family and children’s workshops hosted by Design Museum Boston and the BSA Foundation, focusing on design and play throughout the summer.

There will be two sessions on Saturday, July 16 with 15 spots each. The first session takes place from 10:00 to 11:30 am, the second session takes place from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.

This family program is designed for parents and children aged 7 to 12 years old. Each child must be registered individually and accompanied by an adult, with a maximum ratio of one adult for every three children required.

Kids Design Workshops are a complementary component of BSA Space's exhibition Extraordinary Playscapes. This workshop is presented in partnership with Design Museum Boston and The Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway.
