Things tend to change quickly these days and our Design VIZ leadership team has decided to shift our plans to host the YVR in-person learning event to next month instead. However, we are still gathering over ZOOM this month and are very excited to introduce additional VR content enhancing our larger discussion next month.

We will be hearing from David Morgan, a member of our VR Cohort who has been teaching a pilot class at the Boston Architectural College entitled, "Reality Check". It was taught entirely online using several virtual tools including VR environments. Students were brought together spanning many time zones into a shared space over the last semester.

The results are amazing and more interesting perhaps is the exploration that each student experienced as they got used to this new design medium and began to think outside our usual design methods paradigm. We will be facilitating breakout room discussions after the presentation to consider the implications of this new medium for academic pedagogy and the possibility of shifting VR's perception within our professional practice.
