Architects' Growing Role in Social and Political Engagement

Henry MacLean AIA, LEED AP will share his experiences from teaching and practicing sustainable design since chairing the ASR/COTE committee in 1989.

We will discuss how Whole Systems thinking and Integrative Design challenge us as architects to engage in larger social, political and economic realities in our world. Now, in 2016, with a major political platform viewing climate change as a hoax, we see potential economic and environmental policies that threaten our safety. We will also discuss how our advocacy and examples in practice can help sustainable design become more fully accepted and adopted by mainstream America.

The presentation is co-sponsored by BSA-COTE

For those who qualify, 1.5 LU/HSWs are available.
