Michael McKinnell FAIA, RIBA, 1935-2020
McKinnell was co-founder of Kallman, McKinnell & Wood Architects. He was, along with his partner, Gerhard Kallmann FAIA, designer of the landmark Brutalist building, Boston City Hall.
On March 27, 2020, Michael McKinnell FAIA, RIBA, one of the founders of Kallman, McKinnell & Wood Architects, passed away following illness. Michael was one of Boston’s leading architects, and along with his partner Gerhard Kallmann FAIA, designed Boston City Hall as well as many other significant buildings and plans in Greater Boston and around the world.
