STOSS is seeking a motivated, energetic marketing manager. We are a creative services firm working in the field of landscape architecture and urban design out of our studios in Boston and Los Angeles. This is a key role, one that supports the growth of the firm and is integral to business development. The successful candidate in this position enjoys working on multiple fronts simultaneously, is very detail oriented, a good writer, and has an organizational yet creative mindset. Specific experience in architecture, design, or engineering firms, and in the Southern California market is a strong plus.
The goal for this role is the successful management of RFQ/RFP responses, specifically: coordinating schedules, managing deadlines, communicating with collaborators, and organizing timely, thoughtful, content-driven responses. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for day-to-day marketing efforts such as award submissions, digital marketing, database management (contacts, firm information, projects’ data), press communication, as well as supporting the Directors in business development efforts. You'll work closely with the firm’s leaders, and will have the opportunity to shape the marketing strategy as we continue to grow and expand geographically.
We are looking for candidates who love the design/architectural fields, and are interested in the issues surrounding climate change, environmental justice, urban design, landscape architecture. REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in a marketing role
Familiarity with the RFQ/P process
Proficiency using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, at a minimum) with page layout and image editing skills
Proficiency in Google Docs and Microsoft Office and familiarity with modern cloud-based software platforms (ie) slack, asana, pipedrive, squarespace

Entrepreneurial self-starter and collaborator

Able to tell a compelling story—understand the narrative arc
