About This Position

H+A is looking for a qualified Office Manager with HR experience to join our 30-person creative studio as an integral team member. This is a full-time position for an individual with positive energy, superb interpersonal skills, a get-it-done attitude, and a strong spirit of collaboration and teamwork. Design office experience is a plus. Responsibilities include:


Human Resources

  • Coordinate and oversee employee benefits including health and dental plans, 401K, family leave, flex spending plans, professional development stipends, etc.
  • Coordinate hiring process including offer letters, processing benefits, onboarding
  • Oversee annual employee evaluation process including scheduling and paperwork
  • Keep abreast of employment legislation and requirements
  • Manage employee professional development budgets and continuing education scheduling and expenditures
  • Assist employees with HR issues and personal concerns

Office Management

  • Draft office policies and procedures
  • Office and building maintenance including coordination with landlord and vendors
  • Manage office equipment leases
  • Manage annual general office budget
  • Manage procurement of office supplies
  • Coordinate office events including catering, venue bookings, scheduling, and expenditures
  • Administrative support for practice management committee and accounting department

Requirements:

  • Prior experience with office management and HR
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong aptitude for scheduling and anticipating upcoming deadlines
  • High level of organization and creative problem solving
  • Ability to budget and evaluate operational costs
  • Superb interpersonal skills
  • Eagerness to experiment and continually improve
