LDa Architecture & Interiors is seeking a Director of Marketing who will join us as we grow and expand our 44 person practice across multiple sectors. We are a mid-size practice with a focus on residential architecture and interior design as well as the academic, cultural, and commercial markets.

About This Position

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Principals and Associates to create business development strategies, supporting firm efforts to expand market share and revenue. Lead bi-weekly marketing meetings with Principals and Associates.
  • Supervise a Marketing Coordinator position, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance reviews.
  • Lead RFP/RFQ proposal responses, including lead development, “Go- No Go” discussions, coordination of consultant teams, preliminary outlines, copy writing and graphic design, editing, final packaging, interview preparation, and debriefing.
  • Define and support brand identity, collaborate with the Marketing Coordinator in developing copy and graphic design for all communications materials including brochures, advertising, presentations, displays, award submissions, and email marketing.
  • Manage content development with Marketing Coordinator for the website, blog, and social media channels. Analyze data towards increasing reach and engagement.
  • Maintain asset management systems including mailing lists, databases, and project records. Track and analyze relevant data.
  • Plan and organize approximately ten to twenty photoshoots per year, including photographer selection, staging, editing and rights management.
  • Act as primary media contact in securing placement of firm’s projects in local, regional, and national media, as well as prominent blogs and industry websites.
  • Research opportunities and create presentation media for conferences and speaking events, coach staff on presentation performance.
  • Attend relevant industry events as a representative of the firm, networking with peers and staying abreast of market and industry trends.
  • Act as a resource for all staff in supporting business development goals.


  • Prior experience (10+ years) as a Marketing professional in Architecture or similar field.
  • Experience with public procurement preferred.
  • Superior time management and organization skills, and comfort managing multiple initiatives and deadlines.
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.
  • Graphic design sensibility and interest, understanding of fundamentals of typography, photography, illustration, and information graphics.
  • Prior supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in journalism, marketing & communications, design, or related field of study.
  • Expertise with the Adobe Creative Suite (primarily InDesign & Photoshop) is required.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Deltek Vision preferred.
