Kolmanskop, Namibia, 2016, Photograph, $575.00Kolmanskop, is a ghost town from 1908 in Africa’s Namib Desert. By 1912, a town sprung up, producing a million carats a year, or 11.7% of the world’s total diamond production. By 1956, it was completely abandoned. The dunes now burst through the town’s doors, filling its rooms with sand.
