I wish I could say I plan each shoot location with meticulous focus, but I don't. Much of my documentation of the built environment in Boston happens when I suddenly realize that I'm standing in the right spot. I aim to catch not just the essence of a structure, but the human relationships within it.

One image from a study I did of my neighborhood. Drawn to the feeling of alienation despite being surrounded by hundreds of people; I wanted each scene to detail clearly inhabited homes and signs of life, yet remain completely empty.
