About the Designer Selection Board (DSB)
The DSB is an autonomous eleven member board that selects designers for state building projects and Commonwealth charter school projects.
The DSB serves the design community, assist municipalities with guidelines for their designer selection process and other state entities.Their new database, Autocene, makes applying for state projects and partnering with more diverse firms a cohesive process. As more firms register within Autocene, more comprehensive lists will become available via a quick search.
Firms are be able to search Autocene for projects, select their sub-consultants and put teams together, respond to evaluations, and apply to projects. The resultant statewide database of designers and sub-consultants will be used by public agencies and municipalities to enter their evaluations, for any public project in Massachusetts.
DSB encourages everyone in the design community to enter all their information and use this system to apply for public projects and encourage more diverse partnerships.
