Awards Submissions: What Works, What Doesn’t

Do you tremble at the thought of packaging and distilling your firm’s best project for a design award? Do you sometimes wish you could lean over a juror’s shoulder and more fully explain what an image is conveying? Awards submissions are challenging exercises in effectively presenting a project’s story, requiring narrative and images crafted to support the story and hold a juror’s attention. This month, with awards season upon us, we hear from Mary Fichtner, Director of BSA Programs and Exhibitions, about the awards process and some pointers for an effective submission. Mary will be joined by a past juror who will tell us about submissions that invited a second look. Please join us for this lively discussion.
