Join HUBweek's Media Stage for a presentation looking at growing human migration and displacement due to violence, famine, and persecution, and in anticipation of the foreseeable migration of climate refugees, globally and nationally. Our aim is to make visible the voices, movements and activities of those living in at risk neighborhoods, temporary encampments, or other impermanent “permanent” shelters due to these factors in Boston, Haiti, Lebanon, and more. According to the UNHCR, the average stay of refugees in temporary encampments is now 27 years.

The Open Architecture Collaborative is a US-based nonprofi t (501c3) supported by a global chapter network. We develop educational programming for designers and architects to grow as leaders and changemakers while simultaneously producing placemaking programs with community developers and associations to inspire ownership and civic engagement in traditionally marginalized communities.

resilientSEE
We’re a global alliance committed to designing and rebuilding a resilient, sustainable Puerto Rico. Together, we’re creating opportunities for Puerto Rico to recover and thrive through thoughtful design and strategic planning. We’re donating our time and resources to raise global awareness about resilience, and to develop pilot programs aimed at protecting the island from future extreme weather events.

Syria Initiative for Refugee Children
In recognition of the growing human migration and displacement due to violence, famine and persecution, and in anticipation of the foreseeable migration of climate refugees, globally, nationally, and to the New England area, the Syria Initiative for Refugee Children was established in 2016 as a new model of transnational, crosssectoral collaboration to design and build spaces that address the needs of the most vulnerable Syrian refugees: children.

Build Health International develops high-quality healthcare infrastructure in impoverished regions of the world to enable the provision of dignified care to those who need it most.
