Time is Money: Lean and Modular Construction, Integrated Project Delivery, and Process Planning

Owners as well as architects often overlook the simple fact that time is money. Cynthia Tsao PhD, director of Lean Strategy at Consigli, and Peter Papesch AIA, architect-developer, will explore strategies for accelerating the design and construction of capital facilities to help increase an owner's return on their own investment. In particular, Cynthia and Peter will discuss how modular construction, Integrated Project Delivery (IPD), and Lean construction practices can reduce the building development phase provided that the right team is assembled and paradigm shifts are adopted to take maximum advantage of each of these three practices.
