This month, Family Design Day visits the Rose Kennedy Greenway to tour the newest piece of public art that graces this public space. Artist Mark Reigelman ‘Meeting House’ tells the story of Boston’s history while encouraging passersby to explore, question and interact with this history. Participants will learn how the sculpture was envisioned, and created, and then return to BSA Space to design their own piece of public art that tells Boston’s story.

This family program is designed for parents and children aged five to 13 years old. A maximum ratio of one adult per three children will be required. Please register both children and adults.

Family Design Day programs encourage children and adults to observe, explore, and design together. In these two-hour hands-on workshops, families are introduced to architecture and design through exhibition tours, walking tours, or slide shows and then complete a hands-on design activity. Architects and design educators lead the activities focused on the built environment of Boston and the world.

BSA Space is one block from South Station. Enter through the BSA Space entrance and go up the green staircase. The program begins promptly at start time.

Your registration includes acceptance of the BSA Space photo release and consent policy.

Registrants to this event will be added to the BSA Space mailing list for updates on future public programs and exhibitions. Registrants may unsubscribe at any time. Email addresses will not be shared or sold to third parties.
