Share your vision, shape your city. What might the city of Boston look like in 2030? How will we get around? Where will we live, work, and play? Come explore urban design and architecture as you build the future of Boston using LEGO Bricks. We will begin by learning how architects and urban planners consider sustainability, transportation, housing, parks and open space when planning the development of the city. Participants will then brainstorm their own ideas about how to create a city that is more beautiful, resilient, and equitable. Young designers will then construct their ideas using LEGO® bricks and present their ideas to each other.

This family program is designed for caregivers and children aged five to 13 years old. A maximum ratio of one adult per three children will be required. Tickets required for children and adults. Tickets are $10 per person ($8 Friends of BSA Space* and BSA Members).

Family Design Day programs encourage children and adults to observe, explore, and design together. In these two-hour hands-on workshops, families are introduced to architecture and design through exhibit tours, walking tours, or slide shows and then complete a hands-on design activity. Architects and design educators lead the activities focused on the built environment of Boston and the world.

BSA Space is one block from South Station. Enter through the BSA Space entrance and go up the green staircase. The program begins promptly at start time.
