Meet Polly Welch, Director, and Emmanuel Andrade, Project Manager, of DCAMM’s Statewide Accessibility Initiative. They will discuss:
• How and why this initiative began;
• Common errors that DCAMM finds in its consultants’ design and construction documents;
• Resources – products and design details - that DCAMM has developed for its consultants’ use;
• Suggestions for how to work with DCAMM and its stable of accessibility consultants.

If you or your firm work with DCAMM, this is an important meeting to attend so that you are up-to-date on DCAMM’s expectations and protocols around compliance with 521 CMR, the ADA, and best practices in universal design.

You will also have the chance to meet the two incoming BSA Access Committee Co-Chairs – Emmanuel Andrade and Josh Safdie, Associate Principal of Kessler McGuinness & Associates. They will take over at the May meeting when we host a fascinating panel discussion: Accessible Affordable MicroHousing – Opportunity or Oxymoron? (More to follow on this lively debate.)

Invite colleagues and consultants. The do not need to be BSA Members. But please RSVP by 4/14 so that adequate lunch is provided (thanks to the BSA).

For those who qualify, 1.5 LUs/HSW are available
