Peter Papesch AIA will moderate an open discussion by attendees of what Ed Mazria of Architecture2030 advises architects do immediately, by 2030, and by 2040; how to aim for zero-net-carbon operations in every new building henceforth; how to dramatically reduce embodied carbon in infrastructure, buildings, and materials … in the next 10 years; how to think in terms of large vs. small buildings; how to understand the value of existing buildings; how to think about questions (yours or others’) when proposing carbon positive design; plus much more. It would be helpful if each participant brought their own copy of the current issue of the January 2020 ARCHITECT-The Carbon Issue, together with earmarks of topics of particular interest.
