Each year, WID Professional Development curates a series of three events focused around supporting career growth in areas not formally supported by other programs.

Successful professional women are often asked “How do you do it all?” or “What is your work-life balance like?” These questions are often targeted at how they balance work with family, friends, and other demands. What if the question was reframed to highlight the relationship each of us has with our design career? How do you know when a particular job or focus was “the one”? What do you do when you need to “break up” with the wrong position? How do you find passion and inspiration in what you do every day? What ways do you invest in and sustain a positive long-term relationship with your design career?

This year, the Labor of Love Series focuses on crafting and sustaining a meaningful and rewarding relationship with your design career.
