9th Edition of 780 CMR: Key Issues and Concepts

The two-hour session will cover the key elements of the 9th edition (2015 IBC with MA amendments), including significant changes from the 8th edition and verbiage/requirements that are commonly misinterpreted, misunderstood or overlooked. Included is a review of mixed occupancy buildings, exterior wall ratings, sprinkler systems, smoke control systems, means of egress, 1 and 2 family code, existing buildings, energy code and disabled accessibility.

Case studies of code analysis/review will be presented, including small residential buildings.

The cost is $50 members/$100 nonmembers; sign in at the workshop to earn AIA credit.

In collaboration with codes expert Ron Melucci PE, Registered Fire Protection Engineer, EPM, Inc, the BSA offers a traveling workshop on current building code topics. Members save 50 percent and have their credits reported on their AIA transcript.
