With current 3-5 year long waiting lists there is a serious shortage of Affordable Senior Housing in Massachusetts. Many senior living professionals and state officials are working hard to increase the supply of affordable housing for seniors and ensure that the design of such building is supportive and flexible to enable residents to age in their community as their needs change.

Join the DFA Committee for a presentation by Rachel Belanger, real estate development project manager at 2Life Communities, who was part of the team who helped draft the new senior housing guidelines for the state 2020-2021 QAP. The presentation will be followed by a group discussion on the impact of such new guidelines on the building design, operations and cost.
