As Churchill famously declared: “Never let a good crisis go to waste!”. Beyond the social, economic and structural damage COVID-19 has inflicted, we have faced a number of challenges for Designers as we adapt to remote work. How will we collaborate and work together in a post-pandemic hybrid future of remote and in-person project teams? How can we foster an environment that promotes: sketching and thinking together; engaging clients and communities; allowing accidental ‘collisions’ that generate ideas; making sure we’re on the same page? Please join us to discuss what is lost and what is found in a virtual workplace, how we will continue to reinvent how we work with our clients, and how we can use our ingenuity, digital design tools, and visualization strategies to the fullest. This session builds on our previous engagement where we learned about using remote collaboration tools for brainstorming. All are encouraged to attend. We will recap content from our previous session and further our discussion about the challenges and opportunities associated with remote work.
