Please join us along with presenter Dylan Martello in this discussion of the Passive House standard in achieving Net Zero. Designing living environments for the future requires an all-inclusive approach. The Passive House standard requires designers to incorporate low energy passive design principles from the start to significantly reduce energy consumption. While the focus is reducing energy consumption, the intent of creating such efficient buildings is to also provide comfortable, healthy, and resilient places to live. The Passive House standard can also be a critical strategy to achieving zero net energy buildings

Dylan Martello is a Senior Building Systems Consultant and Certified Passive House Designer with Steven Winter Associates, Inc., specializing in Passive House and Net Zero consulting and energy modeling. On a day-to-day basis, Dylan works with project architects and engineers to assist in the design of extremely energy efficient buildings. His direct project experience includes a range of project types from large multifamily buildings such as 425 Grand Concourse in the Bronx and Sendero Verde in East Harlem a, the Winthrop Square high rise mixed use office building in Boston, a manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka, and an institutional building for Yale University.
