AIA Massachusetts Government Affairs Committee: Legislation and Regulation for Carbon

As chair of the AIA Massachusetts Government Affairs Committee (GAC), I would like to invite all interested members to join us for an update on the different approaches to reducing carbon on a state-wide level.
This month we will be joined by Representative Tommy Vitolo who will discuss a bill he is getting ready to prepare for the next legislative session. Following that, Jacob Knowles will update the group on further development to the EZ Code and their revised proposals for a Net Zero Code the plan on presenting to the BBRS in November. The committee will then discuss our views of both and how we may proceed on this issue.
As the sole committee of the Massachusetts chapter of AIA, the GAC’s mission is to actively participate in the legislative and regulatory process and encourage public advocacy.
