This is your chance to learn SketchUp! Come visit us (virtually!) during an online session of the next BSA SketchUp Bootcamp and learn from an expert. All user levels are welcome, from new users to pros!
This session I’ll show you how to control SketchUp’s “stickiness” to harness the power of the Push/Pull tool, the workhorse of SketchUp, and make everything from simple massing models to complex buildings and cities. You’ll see that by starting with simple Line, Rectangle and Circle tools and adding Push/Pull you can quickly create 3D geometry to show your design. Then learn how to easily add color and texture by using the Paint Bucket tool to bring life to your model.
Take your presentations to the next level with dimensions and notes by using LayOut, the companion program to SketchUp that takes your 3D model into 2D construction documents. You can add title blocks, print drawings to scale, and create cool drawing effects just by using SketchUp and LayOut, without photo editing software! I’ll walk you through the steps to bring your SketchUp model straight into LayOut and start adding dimensions - plus, they update when you make changes to your model!
As always I’ll show you how to start with SketchUp’s basic toolset and work your way up to more complex geometry. Bring your questions and I’ll help you streamline your process so you can master SketchUp!
