KidsBuild! is a hands-on, interactive learning experience that has been broadening children’s understanding of the world in which we live since 1992. While we cannot build in person this year, we are keeping the KidsBuild! spirit of creativity and collaboration alive through a virtual experience. KidsBuild! teaches children about architecture, construction, and urban planning. Similar to the in-person event, you (as an individual or family) will choose a building type, pick a site within our city map, select your building materials, build, and submit your design to the KidsBuild! architects to receive your Certificate of Occupancy.
Participants will be using a KidsBuild! @ Home Workbook for guidance and building with materials from around the home. There are no requirements for what participants can build with—recycled materials, LEGOs, etc. are all fine. Digital submissions (Tinkercad, Minecraft, etc.) will also be accepted.
Submit your completed online entries on time so they can be featured in the virtual exhibition and on official BSA social media platforms!
