Today, the Sustainability Professional can be called upon to apply knowledge of sustainability to assist with a client with project conception, policy, proposals, resiliency to climate change, social justice, design, construction, operations, permaculture, environmental stewardship, integrative process, deconstruction and more. A project still has a goal or design objective, a funding source (hopefully) and deliverables/construction documents. A Sustainability Plan is a management tool to facilitate the pathway to sustainability. Writing a good sustainability plan will help the Sustainability Professionals align with the client’s needs and goals for the project. The sustainability plan communicates all the requirements to plan, design and construct the sustainable project. It is applicable to projects of all types and sizes and 3rd party verification systems. This presentation walks through developing an outline for a sustainability plan.
