Please join us as ZeroEnergy Design's Stephanie Horowitz AIA presents one of the firm's net positive designs. This modern farmhouse ties into the cultural landscape of Lincoln, MA - a town known for its rich history, farming traditions, conservation efforts and visionary architecture. The goal was to design and build a new single family home that respects the neighborhood's agrarian roots, produces more energy than it consumes, and provides the family with flexible spaces to live-play-work entertain. The 2,800 sf home is LEED Platinum certified, Zero Energy Certified by ILFI and has a Reveal label, also by ILFI.

ZeroEnergy Design is a modern green architecture and mechanical design firm. Their full-service Architecture Practice designs new construction and major renovations of modern green homes and buildings pursuing exceptional energy performance. For projects in need of energy services exclusively, ZED's Mechanical Design Practice helps other professionals achieve exceptional energy performance targets such as Passive House, Net Zero Energy, Net Positive Energy, and Zero Fossil Fuel Consumption.

Stephanie will be joined by Mark Doughty, president of Thoughtforms, an innovative and market-leading custom home builder in the Boston area founded in 1972. As the second-generation leader of Thoughtforms, Mark has focused on connecting craftspeople, clients, and the design community to create singular homes in a predictable – and sustainable – way. His own home generates nearly 70% more energy than it uses.

2 LU/HSW AIA credits are available.
