While fire department access is one small part of the fire code, its requirements can have a drastic impact on a project – location of the building, interior layout, even landscaping choices. This presentation will give an overview of the requirements, including Massachusetts-specific amendments, with suggestions and past successes in meeting the local fire departments’ needs while still maintaining design objectives.
