Historic Building Restoration: Design Assist Services and Treatment Techniques

In February, Yvette Dudac, Director of Business Development for the legendary John Canning & Co., will provide HRC attendees a richly illustrated overview of a range of design assist services and treatment techniques involved with the restoration, conservation and preservation of historic buildings. Viewing a selection of historic building projects, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the historic architectural finishes, pre-construction services and investigations, as well as the restoration, conservation and preservation options that are typically part of the restoration implementation stage of a project. The presentation is geared as a primer for newcomers to the field as well as a refresher for allied professionals and will conclude with an opportunity for Q&A.

Yvette Dudac is the Director of Business Development for John Canning & Co. and a member of the Association for Preservation Technology International (APT). With over 20 years of experience in the areas of sales management, product management, customer support, training, design, integration and marketing, Yvette brings a wide range of talents and expertise to her role at the firm. While she supports and guides the continuous growth and reach of the company, she also works to share the Canning’s institutional knowledge about historical architectural restoration, employing as case studies some of the many projects the company has completed. Yvette brought to her role many years of previous work experience in technical product development and personnel training systems.
