This is a sponsored event by the Harvard Graduate School of Design Executive Education.
Cities today are shaped by more than buildings and streets; they are informed by dynamic environmental systems, evolving cultural identities, and often competing community perspectives. This course will take a holistic view of resilience, advocating that both planners and designers need to consider environmental changes hand in hand with cultural, social, and economic dimensions.
Panel discussions, a site tour and group charrette provide participants with a chance to hear perspectives and case studies from experts in all aspects of city planning, then test their ideas in a real-life urban neighborhood.
