AIA Massachusetts Government Affairs: July Meeting

This month, our special guest speaker is Rep. Paul Mark (D- Peru). Rep. Mark is the House Vice chair of the Joint Committee on Telecommunications, Utilities and Energy (JCTUE). The JCTUE, which crafted the Commonwealth's climate change law in 2021, has purview over all matters concerning the exploration and development of energy sources within the Commonwealth along with siting of energy facilities, public utilities and wind farms.

Specifically, we will discuss the intersection between his committee's work and our advocacy agenda and consider how our members can better become a resource to him, the Committee, and the Legislature in general.

As the sole committee of the Massachusetts chapter of AIA, the GAC's mission is to actively participate in the legislative and regulatory process and encourage public advocacy.
