The BSA's K12 Design Knowledge Community in collaboration with the Association for Learning Environment's New England Chapter, invite you to tour the new Boston Arts Academy.

The Boston Arts Academy is the city’s only public high school for the visual and performing arts, serving students who reflect the diversity of Boston’s neighborhoods. The BAA serves as a laboratory and a beacon for artistic and academic innovation, preparing a diverse community of aspiring artist scholars to be successful in their college or professional careers and to be engaged members of a democratic society.

The design provides spaces to inspire Theatre, Dance, Music, Visual Arts, Fashion Technology, Academic and support programs of 153,500 SF within a tight urban site and a footprint of less than one acre. This led to considerations such as expanding the pedestrian streetscape presence by reducing the width of Ipswich Street and inclusion of rooftop classroom to provide precious outside space for students and staff.

Please note; there is no on-site parking. You may enter the school lobby and sign-in upon arrival. Masks are encouraged but not required. Space may be limited; you must register in advance.
