AIA Massachusetts Government Affairs: Legislative and Regulatory Updates (Virtual)

As chairs of the GAC, we would like to invite all interested members to join us for an update on the legislative and regulatory issues that could have an impact on the way we practice architecture here in Massachusetts.

Five new senators will join the 40-member chamber in January, while the 160-member House will feature either 21 or 22 first-time representatives depending on how a pair of unresolved recounts play out.

As such, we will call for and discuss planning for our bi-annual Freshman Legislators Breakfast, and anyone who lives in one of the new Rep or Senators districts is encouraged to attend. In addition, we will begin formulating our implementation strategy around our 2023-2024 legislative and regulatory goals.

As the sole committee of the Massachusetts chapter of AIA, the GAC’s mission is to actively participate in the legislative and regulatory process and encourage public advocacy.
