Join the WiD Design and Networking group for our 2023 kickoff event - a design tour of the Foundry space by CambridgeSeven followed by a networking hour to engage with other professionals!

Located at the intersection of the Kendall Square Innovation District and the East Cambridge neighborhood, the reimagined Foundry Building is a community hub for creativity and collaboration.

From iron foundry for the Blake and Knowles Steam Pump Company to mid-century taxi barn to 1980s office space, this 110-year-old building has served many uses. After the City of Cambridge acquired this historic structure, it turned to architecture firm CambridgeSeven to envision a bold transformation of the brick and timber-frame industrial building. The project transforms a former industrial space into a nexus for visual and performing arts, entrepreneurship, technology and workforce education.

Danielle McDonough AIA, a Senior Associate at CambridgeSeven, and Project Architect on the Foundry renovation project, will be hosting the design tour. She will guide us through the various spaces while talking about the community engagement, design and construction processes.

Please note that there are a limited number of attendees permitted for this event due to space restrictions at the venue.
