This month we are excited to have presentations of recent placemaking and tactical urbanism projects from several practitioners:
Parke MacDowell, AIA | Associate Principal & Director of Fabrication, PayetteParke leads many of Payette’s pro bono initiatives, combining civic activism, management skill and superb design. These inspiring projects—LynnLights, WaSH, FoLD, BeND, Dancing Dragon, Winthrop Community Garden, Nashua Riverwalk and more—demonstrate the power of design to positively shape communities and have been recognized with multiple awards. Since 2016, Parke and Payette have partnered with Beyond Walls, a non-profit placemaking agency that uses a creative lens to address community needs.
