AIA Massachusetts Government Affairs Committee: Energy Codes (Virtual)

All interested members are invited to join us for an update on the legislative and regulatory issues that have an impact on the way we practice architecture here in Massachusetts.

Our special guest speaker for this month is Kate Bubriski, AIA. As a current Board member of AIA Massachusetts (AIA MA), Kate led AIA MA’s efforts in conducting a survey of its members at the end of last year regarding the 2023 energy codes. The purpose of the survey was to see what the industry needs to implement the new codes effectively. Kate will present the survey findings and discuss potential action items to help better educate and train the industry.

As the sole committee of the Massachusetts chapter of AIA, the GAC's mission is to actively participate in the legislative and regulatory process and encourage public advocacy.
