Please join the Access Committee on Wednesday, September 26, as we welcome Veronica Mansilla, an architect in Tucuman, Argentina and a founding principal of TreceDiecinueve. Veronica will present her "aUPA" project, recently completed in her home city. The "aUPA" project leverages tactical urbanist sensibilities and meaningful stakeholder engagement to provide safe, welcoming, child-centered spaces in cities where they are otherwise lacking. The project was one of 26 projects funded around the globe by the Bernard van Leer Foundation in 2017 as part of the NGO's "Urban95 Challenge," a design challenge that asks participants to respond to the experience of the city at 95cm - the height of a 3-year-old.
