Engineering is a key aspect to the successful design of any lab space. Engineers from Arup, BR+A, Buro Happold and Vanderweil will present emerging trends and best practices in building systems design for research facilities.
Session 3: Boston as an Innovation and Research Ecosystem
Since the Boston area has been recognized as a hub for innovation nationally, the community of researchers, entrepreneurs, institutions and developers collectively understand what it takes to create an ecosystem that generates new knowledge and new ventures. This panel will provide a forum for the participants to share their experiences with projects that are part of the research and innovation ecosystem. The panel will include Mark Chaffee from Biogen, Rebecca Herbst, Research and Advisory Services JLL, and Maureen Hickey, Northeastern University.
