Time to kick-off our fall meetings! As part of our High Performance Project Roundtable our guest speakers, Leers Weinzapfel Architects, BVH Integrated Services, and Atelier Ten, will to discuss the team’s integrated approach to sustainability throughout design, construction, and post-occupancy energy performance verification of the John W. Olver Design Building at University of Massachusetts. The building exemplifies the university’s commitment to sustainable and innovative design with its LEED Gold certification and demonstration of emerging wood construction technologies. Bringing together the previously dispersed Departments of Architecture, Building Construction Technology, and Landscape Architecture & Regional Planning, the Olver building fosters multidisciplinary collaboration and expressively integrates building, landscape architecture, and building technology. The Olver Building has been recognized by BSA for both design excellence (Design Award 2017) and sustainable design (Sustainable Design Honor Award 2018). 2 LU AIA credits are available
