Vectorworks Users Group: Eames House 1.1—Constructing the Eames House

Please join us as we document the BIM model for the Eames House. Over the next several meetings we will develop a schematic model illustrating the material assemblies; wall, floor and roof construction. As the construction model develops we will discuss different options to improve the R-value of the building systems as the 1949 building does not meet current day codes. During this meeting you will learn to:

• Construct a BIM model using parametric wall, slab, door, and window objects.
• Walls and slabs styles will include components representing the materials of construction.
• Create curtain wall window systems.
• Set up presentation views and sheets reflecting revisions as the model is developed.
