Winteractive Walking Tour
Wondering what those giant pink inflatable creatures are that have popped up downtown?
The Placemaking Network in collaboration with the Design Visualization Knowledge Community and Downtown Boston Alliance present a walking (and sketching) tour of the Winteractive Placemaking temporary installations around Downtown Crossing.
Lace up your sneakers to explore Downtown Boston’s vibrant art scene! WINTERACTIVE is a much buzzed-about public art exhibition made up of artworks and play experiences in sites throughout the Downtown neighborhood. Presented by the Downtown Boston Alliance, WINTERACTIVE is inspired by the winter festivals and art experiences of Canada and features elements that light up, play music, and give us all an excuse to head outside in the winter. A member of the Alliance’s staff will lead the tour and share information on each of the many engaging elements of WINTERACTIVE. The tour takes approximately 60 minutes and will be at a walking pace.
Capturing Boston's Curious Creatures
The Design Viz Knowledge Community will be crashing the tour set up by the Placemaking Network KnoCo in collaboration with Downtown Boston Alliance. The weather should be perfect for getting outside and capturing these characters on paper before they disappear forever.
We will gather at a local bar for happy hour drinks and snacks afterwards. Meeting point and additional information will be provided for those who sign up.
Kelsey Pramik | Director of Special Projects, Downtown Boston Alliance
Rob Barella | Co-Chair, BSA Placemaking Network
