Making PALs: Public Access Landscapes

Landing Studio's Dan Adams will explain the process of making Public Access Landscapes, or PALs. The firm, under the leadership of Dan Adams and Marie Law Adams, explores how infrastructural spaces such as the areas under highways can be re-imagined for better environmental performance through green storm-water management, improved connectivity, and public realm experience. These spaces are typically designed for cars and trucks without consideration for the human scale. This presentation will introduce strategies for considering how public access can be compatible with and integrated into the constraints of active infrastructural spaces, as well as address the opportunities that they present.

This meeting is being co-hosted by BSA COTE.
